It’s Australia Day! And to celebrate, there’s some amazing events going on in London! So it’s time to don your finest green and gold outfits, sing Kylie at the top of your lungs and start practicing your best Home and Away accent!

Tuesday 26th January marks the international celebration and Aussie ex-pats around the world will be revelling the night away, even if we do have work in the morning! To help get your Aus-some weekend off to a good start, we’ve rounded up some of the best events going on in London.

Here’s where you can celebrate the wonders of Down Under this weekend:

Australian Open Tennis at Jetlag Bar:

Pitch up for a screen-side seat at Jetlag, Fitzrovia, to watch the men’s Australian Open final and the fifth one day international between England and Australia. Plus there will be a movie marathon of four of the best Aussie films! And in true Aussie fashion – there will be meat pies, kangaroo steaks and beers a plenty!

Vinopolis’ Australian wine tasting evening:

Fancy yourself a bit of a sommelier? Get yourself down to Vinopolis on Tuesday afternoon for a wine masterclass with experts taking guests through six types of wine from the land down under. Tickets cost £35.

Bloomsbury Lanes Aussie-themed bowling night:

The city’s favourite bowling alley, Bloomsbury Lanes, will throw a 12-hour long party with a line of up Australian themed music, food, drinks, films. Fancy dress is welcome so get your cork hat and kangaroo onesies ready! Tickets cost £7 at the door.
